چکیده

It is necessary to assess a product's sustainability from both environmental and social perspectives. However, combined performance assessments have not been given enough attention. This paper presents Environmental Life Cycle Assessment (E-LCA) Social (S-LCA) of an industrial LED luminaire through its life cycle. The LCA screening studies were conducted in line with ISO 14044 United Nations Guidelines for E-LCA S-LCA Ecoinvent PSILCA databases. study analysed the key potential risks as well interrelation between results, which production driver, panel, electricity consumption identified hotspot processes impacts. Four issues identified, namely ‘association bargaining rights’, ‘sanitation coverage’, ‘public sector corruption’ ‘pollution’. driver panels are responsible 78% 20% impacts respectively phase. Electricity accounts average 51% process also made contribution ‘social responsibility along supply chain’ (52%), ‘industrial water depletion’ (84%) ‘contribution load’ (63%) risks. Meanwhile, category economic development’, 18% positive identified. Based on results obtained, recommendations derived development sustainable lighting products services trade-off impact socio-economic benefits. According literature review, this research first attempt provides valuable knowledge future area.

Evaluation of the environmental impact of broiler chicken production by industrial and traditional methods using the Life Cycle Assessment

Poultry meat with a high share in the food consumption is one of the most basic products for supplying protein to households. Due to the high amount of pollutants in this part, the environmental impact of the production of this product is necessary. In the present study, the environmental impact of broiler chicken production in both industrial and traditional breeding methods were evaluated ...

An EPQ Model for Product Life Cycle (Maturity Stage) with Deteriorating Items and Shortages

A product life cycle is the life span of a product in which the period begins with the initial product specification and ends with the withdrawal from the market of both the product and its support. A product life cycle can be divided into several stages characterized by the revenue generated by the product. This study investigates inventory control policies in a manufacturing system for a si...

Product Environmental Life-Cycle Assessment Using Input-Output Techniques

Life-cycle assessment (LCA) facilitates a systems view in environmental evaluation of products, materials, and processes. Life-cycle assessment attempts to quantify environmental burdens over the entire life-cycle of a product from raw material extraction, manufacturing, and use to ultimate disposal. However, current methods for LCA suffer from problems of subjective boundary definition, inflex...

A method for projecting useful life of LED lighting systems

This study investigated a non-invasive method to determine the junction temperature of AlGaInP light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in a system. Because the primary cause for the AlGaInP LED degradation is junction temperature, this method can be used to predict LED life. Currently, life estimates of LED lighting systems quoted by manufacturers (commonly 100,000 hours) are based on the average life of ...

TOWARD AN INTEGRATIVE MODEL OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT: PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE AND ENVIRONMENTAL VARIABLES by

Strategically focused companies are increasingly squeezing efficiencies from their supply chains to enhance their competitive posture. Built on the seminal works of Harrigan (1985) in vertical integration and Hayes and Wheelwright (1979a,b) in product life cycles, this study moves toward an integrating model of supply chain management with moderating effects of environmental variables.
